    Why open source?

The justification to that question is quite simple: open source has Vision, both for the project itself and for the customer. The major problem when developing proprietary software is the fact that the project lies entirely on the shoulders of the initial developers, which implies that if there is no incentive, the project may cease to develop. On the contrary, when developing open source it is possible to get people outside of the initial development team to get involved and as such secure the future of the project. For customers utilizing Library management solutions the sudden cease of development of the project or support would be disastrous, which is why many prefer their solution to be developed open source; if everything else fails, they have the possibility to take their own needed actions.

As our goal was to create a growing and enduring project, open source was the natural alternative. By developing open source it is quaranteed that the project will live as long as there are developers, and that is where we want you to come into the picture.
